Tulip

The brief was tha design a contemporary yet classic design. One that would not date.

A Platinum solitaire diamond ring to be used as an engagement ring. It must sit perfectly against a matching wedding band.

A six claw setting was too fussy and four claws set to the corners made the brilliant cut diamond look too square.

The design must be pretty, simple yet elegant and timeless.

The Tulip ring was born..,

Four claws set north, south, east and west on a substantial band, durable enough for everyday wear.

The claws are the tips to elongated petals which cup the diamond. A few drop is suspended at the base of the petal adding a certain sparkle to the side of the flower head.
